Wet-Togetherness was a collaboration between e-flux and the 13th Shanghai Biennale, Bodies of Water, curated by Andrés Jaque, Marina Otero Verzier, Lucia Pietroiusti, Filipa Ramos and YOU Mi, and organized and promoted by the Power Station of Art. Needless to say that the current situation did not allow us to travel to Shanghai in order to interview each one of the participants of the podcast. In fact, most of the artists were in their hometowns when we were producing this. So we have worked on an experimental format avoiding the zoomification of voice recording. Due to this design, I hope we have preserved some of the warmer qualities of the voice, as well as some of the artist’s discourse freedom. For the purpose of producing these pieces, we formed an international podcasting team. I have edited the audio along with my fellow Rubén Coll from Madrid, the sound design was been composed by France-Japanese sound artist Tomoko Sauvage’s and voice locutions by the Chinese painter Yang Yang.
