Works on the eruption of the volcano Cumbre Vieja in La Palma

In the context of the Festival Open Studio 2022, which is based on a general door opening of studios, independent spaces and artistic residences in Madrid, I was able to curate a small exhibition on the artists Fernando Maselli and Pablo Sanz. Fernando presented MALPAÍS, a serie of photogrammetries which bore the name which in the Canary Islands and in some parts of Latin-America comes to designate the “badlands” or wastelands that volcanic eruptions leave on their wake. Pablo Sanz, in his turn, presented EARTHING (28° 36’ 49’’ N 17° 52’ 01’’ W), a set of two sound compositions produced at different times during the eruption.
